D’Ann writes about flawed individuals dealing with contemporary life.

She left a successful marketing career when she felt God’s call to adopt a sibling pair of third-world children. D’Ann became active in the special needs world when her son was diagnosed with autism.

An author who loves to speak, D’Ann especially enjoys communicating on subjects relating to her favorite topic – harvesting growth and laughter from adversity. Her first novel, Dancing From the Shadows, is a fictionalized composite of life in the special needs world.

Her number one fan is Bruce, her husband of over 25 years. They live in John’s Creek, Georgia, with daughter Sophia, aged 19, Luke, aged 16, and Cocoa, a fierce teddy bear of a dog. The household is run by their two cats, Scarlett and Cashew. When not busy as a Home Front Manager, Writer and Speaker, D’Ann facilitates her church’s Guatemala Child Sponsorship Program.

D’Ann believes life’s blows are softened when we link arms with God and laugh at the enemy.
